Throughout the month of November, Youppi! and a group of seven Canadiens players will grow their mustaches in an effort to raise funds and awareness about men's health issues. Since 2003, more than $20 million has been reinvested by Movember in Quebec to fund groundbreaking projects across men's mental health and suicide prevention, prostate cancer, and testicular cancer. HOCKEY FIGHTS CANCER NIGHT - NOVEMBER 20
On Saturday, November 20, the Montreal Canadiens will dedicate their home game against the Nashville Predators to the children of
Leucan
, an association that has dedicated itself over the past 40 years to supporting cancer-stricken children and their families.

Over 50 young Leucan members, along with their parents, will attend the game at the Bell Centre, where they will experience an unforgettable evening thanks to the generosity of corporate suite holders. During the pre-game warmup, Canadiens players will sport special Hockey Fights Cancer jerseys and will use lavender-colored tape on their sticks. AUCTION BENEFITTING THE TERRY FOX FOUNDATION - NOVEMBER 29
To mark the 40th anniversary of the death of Canadian athlete and activist Terry Fox, the Montreal Canadiens will be hosting a special cancer-themed auction as they square off against the Vancouver Canucks at the Bell Centre. Items from former hockey players, athletes, and artists who have been diagnosed with cancer in their lifetimes will be put up for auction, with all proceeds going to the
Terry Fox Foundation

Across the province, the hockey community united in support of this campaign and to assist people with cancer and their families. Montreal Canadiens players, as well as members of the Laval Rocket and Trois-Rivières Lions, will wear Hockey Fights Cancer decals on their helmets until the end of the month. The club also worked with Hockey Québec to distribute more than 1,000 decals to the 15 teams of the Quebec U18 AAA Hockey Development League and to the 18 teams of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL).
Fans are also invited to show their support for the cause by
submitting the name
of a loved one who is currently battling or previously battled cancer. The names submitted by the public will be incorporated into the game presentation on November 20 to celebrate all those who are affected by cancer, and honor those who are no longer with us. Fans at home can also join the fight against cancer by downloading and personalizing their own
"I Fight For" card
and sharing it on social media using the hashtag #HockeyFightsCancer.
