The Must List: Ryan Poehling

MONTREAL - Shortly after the 2018-19 campaign came to a close, we caught up with prospect Ryan Poehling to learn more about his likes in a variety of different categories.

ONE RESTAURANT IN THE WORLD PEOPLE MUST TRY
It has to be Chick-fil-A. I love their food. I love chicken, especially their nuggets. The sauce is great, too. But I think it's the hospitality that puts them over the top. They're just so genuine there. Whenever you go there, it's just a great experience. I've never had a bad experience at one of their restaurants.

ONE CAR PEOPLE MUST DRIVE
I like the Lincoln Navigator. My mom just got one and it has some custom features. I've never been a huge car guy, but this would be the one you have to try. We call it "The Spaceship" because it's so futuristic. It's super comfortable. I think the seats can even give you a massage. I think my dad wanted to buy it more than she did, but she really loves it now. It's a really sweet color, too. It's dark navy blue.
ONE TV SHOW PEOPLE MUST WATCH
Game of Thrones. It was just so unique and different from everything else. I didn't think I'd enjoy it to start with. Once you buy into it, though, you're hooked. My buddies and I even had a little bet during the last season about who was going to take the throne.

ONE ALBUM PEOPLE MUST ADD TO THEIR COLLECTION
Purpose by Justin Bieber is probably one of my favorite albums ever. I love that type of music. Recently, though, I've been listening to a lot of Post Malone and his album Beerbongs & Bentleys. I love the songs "Paranoid" and "92 Explorer." But my all-time favorite album is Tha Carter Vby Lil Wayne. I love Lil Wayne. I've watched documentaries on him. What's cool about him is that he never wrote down a song. He's straight freestyle. He goes into the studio, freestyles some lyrics and then keeps what he likes in the song.

ONE LESSER-KNOWN MOVIE PEOPLE MUST WATCH
I'm a big movie guy, so I'll go with Good Will Hunting as my favorite. But one that's under the radar is The Age of Adaline with Blake Lively. It's a slow love story, and I love Blake Lively as an actress. I really enjoyed the whole plot of that film.

ONE BOOK PEOPLE MUST READ
Unlimited Power: The New Science of Personal Achievementby Tony Robbins. There's a great documentary about him on Netflix, so you have to watch that. It's just crazy how he talks people through different situations and how it can seriously change your life. I've always been into that type of stuff, just being more and more methodical about situations. This book is about how you can be happier each day. It's about empowering yourself.

ONE BRAND OF CLOTHING PEOPLE MUST WEAR
I'm not really a brand guy. My favorite store is Nordstrom. They have a lot of comfortable shirts that are wearable. That's also where I get all of my suits. The hospitality there is great, too. The salespeople treat you so well and they're always there to help you out when you're deciding on what to buy.

ONE ACTIVITY PEOPLE MUST TRY
Wakesurfing. I do it all the time at my cabin. With wakeboarding, you can get hurt because you're going like 20 mph. With wakesurfing, you're just five feet behind the boat on a big wave and you're going like seven to 10 mph. As players, you can just enjoy that. It's fun to do a lot of tricks. My brothers are a lot better than me, but they've taught me some things and I'm getting better.
