Suzuki-Brook-Ylonen

MONTREAL - Three Canadiens prospects have been invited to their respective countries' World Junior Championship selection camps: Nick Suzuki, Josh Brook, and Jesse Ylonen.

The camps are a preliminary step in the process of selecting a roster for the 2019 World Junior Championship, which takes place in Vancouver and Victoria, British Columbia starting on Boxing Day.
Suzuki and Brook will be heading to camp in Victoria in the hopes of cracking Team Canada's roster, while Ylonen will be attempting to participate with Team Finland.

Acquired in the trade that sent Max Pacioretty to the Vegas Golden Knights, Suzuki has been lighting it up with the OHL's Owen Sound Attack this season. He has 20 goals for 41 points through 27 games. The London native was Vegas' first-round pick (13th overall) in 2017.
Brook, meanwhile, sits fourth in scoring among defensemen in the WHL with 29 points (8G, 21A) in 22 games for the Moose Jaw Warriors. He was the Canadiens' second-round pick (56th overall) in 2017.
Across the pond, Ylonen has notched five goals for eight points in 26 games for the Lahti Pelicans in the Finnish Elite League. He was selected by Montreal in the second round (35th overall) in 2018.
