MONTREAL – Alex Newhook put the Habs up 2-1 in the third period, but Utah tied the game and ultimately won 3-2 in overtime at the Bell Centre on Tuesday.

Head coach Martin St-Louis deployed new line formations against Utah. Prior to warmups, the team announced that Mike Matheson was not available for the game due to a lower-body injury. Jayden Struble suited up and was paired with Justin Barron.

What’s next 

The Canadiens will fly immediately to Columbus for the first of three games on the road. Following Tuesday’s game, St-Louis confirmed that Patrik Laine will travel with the team. Puck drop for Wednesday’s game against the Blue Jackets is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. ET. Following stops in New York City and Boston, the team will return to the Bell Centre next week to host the New York Islanders on Tuesday, Dec. 3. For tickets, click here.
