Beaudin-Condotta-split

BROSSARD -- Montreal Canadiens general manager Kent Hughes announced on Thursday that the team has agreed to terms on a one-year, two-way contract with defenseman Nicolas Beaudin as well as on a two-year, two-way contract (2023-24 to 2024-25) with forward Lucas Condotta.

Beaudin played 42 games in the AHL in 2022-23 with the Laval Rocket and Rockford IceHogs, registering two goals and 24 assists. Acquired from the Chicago Blackhawks in exchange for forward Cam Hillis in October 2022, Beaudin was selected in the first round (27th overall) by the Blackhawks in 2018. The Chateauguay, QC native skated in 22 career NHL games with Chicago, recording six points (two goals, four assists).

Condotta played 72 games with the Rocket in 2022-23, tallying 16 goals and 15 assists in his first full season in the AHL. The 25-year-old forward also played his first career NHL game on April 13 against the Boston Bruins, scoring his first NHL goal that same night. Condotta joined the Canadiens organization as a free agent on March 31, 2022.
