Goaltender Jake Allen and defensemen Ben Chiarot, Joel Edmundson, Jeff Petry and Chris Wideman were placed on the NHL's COVID-19 protocol list. Goalie coach Eric Raymond has also been placed on the protocol. They're all being monitored closely by team medical staff and are following guidelines and protocols set by the NHL.
These names are added to those of Laurent Dauphin, Mike Hoffman, Artturi Lehkonen and Tyler Toffoli, all of whom are currently on the NHL's COVID-19 protocol list as well.
As a result, goaltender Cayden Primeau and defenseman Corey Schueneman are being recalled to the Canadiens and the following players have been re-assigned to the team's taxi squad: Brandon Baddock, Gianni Fairbrother, Cam Hillis and Michael McNiven. They will travel with the team to Florida.
