Vancouver, B.C. - The Vancouver Canucks announced today the addition of two new content creators with the hirings of Kate Pettersen as Rinkside Reporter and Lindsey Horsting as Editorial Writer.

"We are very excited to welcome Kate and Lindsey to the Canucks organization as our two newest content creators across various platforms," said Michael Doyle, President, Canucks Sports & Entertainment, Business Operations. "Each has a wealth of sports media experience and they will be an integral part of our commitment to providing best-in-class storytelling, daily news, and behind-the-scenes access to our fans as we invest in bringing them closer to the team than ever before."

Pettersen joins the organization having most recently spent the 2022.23 season with the Nashville Predators as the club's Rinkside Reporter, hosting pre- and post-game reports, conducting walk-off interviews, and producing other digital content. Previously, she has held similar roles with other Canadian professional sports teams including the Edmonton Oilers during the 2019.20 season and with the Toronto Argonauts of the Canadian Football League, where she spent four seasons. In addition to delivering on-air content, Pettersen has experience providing written news reports, feature articles, and blog posts. She has also worked for several other Canadian media and news outlets, including as a Host & Reporter for TSN, a Sports Host & Senior Writer with CBC/Radio-Canada, and as a News Reporter & Anchor with Global News Regina.

Horsting joins the Canucks from Sportsnet 650 radio and the Vancouver Bandits of the Canadian Elite Basketball League, where she spent the last year as a Sideline Reporter, conducting interviews and reporting live on Bandits broadcasts. Since 2019, she has also worked for Rogers Sports & Media in a variety of content creation roles. Most notably, she spent multiple years as a co-host and producer of Vancouver's first all-female sports talk show, "OT with Lina and Lindsey" on Sportsnet 650. Outside of the Vancouver sports scene, Horsting has experience in the world of digital content and journalism, having worked as an NBA Wire Contributor with USA TODAY, a Multimedia Journalist with Black Press Media in Langford, BC, and a Digital Content Project Employee with the National Basketball Association. Horsting obtained a Master of Science, Broadcast & Digital Journalism from Syracuse University in 2016, with an emphasis on Sports Communication.
