MONTREAL - The best boxing day sales were found on television yesterday, as all three Canadiens prospects took part in the World Junior Championship play.

Germany 2 - Canada 16
Kaiden Guhle (16th overall, 2020), did not lose any time making his mark. The Canadiens' first-round pick drove to the net following a Jack Quinn pass, deked two German players, and followed it up with the first goal of the game fewer than two minutes into the first period.

He finished the game with 18 minutes of ice time as well as a +4 rating.
Sweden 6 - Czech Republic 1
The first game of the day saw Canadiens prospect Jan Mysak and the Czechs take on the powerhouse Swedes.
Mysak, who was named the captain of the Czech squad a few days prior to the start of the tournament, scored the first goal of the game following a perfect passing play on the man-advantage which gave him plenty of time to put the puck in the back of the net.

However, the rest of the game went the way of the Swedes, who scored six goals in a row to complete a dominant 6-1 victory.
Mysak added two shots on net and over 19 minutes of time on ice to his goal, and was named the play of the game for the Czechs.
United States 11 - Austria 0
Later in the evening, the United States played their second game in as many nights, this time taking on Austria.
Unlike the previous night, Cole Caufield did not manage to find the scoresheet, despite six shot attempts, one of which hit the post.
The alternate captain maintained a +1 rating and was given 17:39 of ice time by his coach Nate Leaman.
