Youppi! inducted into Mascot Hall of Fame, receives ring

They like it, so they put a ring on it.
Following more than 40 years of service spanning two leagues - and still nowhere near retiring - Youppi! has been officially inducted to the Mascot Hall of Fame.

The Expos-turned-Canadiens mascot received his personalized Hall of Fame ring via a virtual ceremony with the rest of the Class of 2020 on Sunday.
And it's glorious.

An in-mascot ceremony was originally slated to take place at the home of the Hall in Whiting, IN but was moved online due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Already one of only three mascots on display at the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, NY, Sunday's honor is the latest on a long list of achievements for the orange giant.

First Canadian mascot to be inducted to the Hall? Check.
First North American mascot to crossover between two major leagues? Check.
First mascot to be ejected from an MLB game? Check.

Still, don't expect the fame to get to his head.
After all, despite the rocks that he's now got, he's still Youppi! from the block.
