Vancouver, B.C.- Vancouver Canucks General Manager Jim Benning announced today that the club has acquired forward Jason Dickinson from the Dallas Stars in exchange for a third-round draft pick in the 2021 NHL Entry Draft.

Dickinson, 26, appeared in 51 games with the Stars in 2020.21, registering 7 goals and 8 assists (7-8-15). Over the past six seasons with Dallas, Dickinson has collected 63 points (25-38-63) and 64 penalty minutes in 221 career NHL games.

The 6'2", 200-pound forward recorded career highs in games played (67), assists (16), points (22) and penalty minutes (23) in the 2018.19 season.

Dickinson has also appeared in 175 career AHL games with the Texas Stars collecting 114 points (49-65-114) and 105 penalty minutes.

Dickinson has appeared in in 40 post-season games collecting 9 points (5-4-9) and 12 penalty minutes.

A native of Georgetown, Ontario, Dickinson represented Team Canada at the 2013 U18 World Junior Hockey Championship where he recorded an assist (0-1-1) in three games played and helped his team win the gold medal.

Dickinson was originally selected by the Dallas Stars in the first round, 29th overall, at the 2013 NHL Entry Draft.
