Di Giuseppe, 28, spent last season with the Abbotsford Canucks in the AHL, ranking sixth on the team in scoring with 36 points (12-24-36) and 37 penalty minutes in 42 games played. He also ranked third on the team in shots (138) despite ranking 11th in games played, while his 24 assists and 36 points each marked new career highs at the AHL level.
The 6'0", 193-pound left winger has previously spent parts of six seasons in the NHL as well with the Carolina Hurricanes, Nashville Predators, and New York Rangers, netting a total of 53 points (16-37-53) and 73 penalty minutes in 201 games played. Di Giuseppe has also compiled 163 points (66-97-163) and 169 penalty minutes in 269 AHL games split between Abbotsford, Hartford, Milwaukee, and Charlotte.
A native of Toronto, Ontario, Di Giuseppe was originally drafted by the Carolina Hurricanes in the second round, 38th overall in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft.
