Vancouver, B.C.- Vancouver Canucks General Manager Patrik Allvin announced today that the club has agreed to terms with defenceman Noah Juulsen on a two-year, two-way contract.

"We are happy to have Noah back with our hockey club," said Allvin. "He showed last season that he can step up and compete for a spot at the NHL level and also was a key leader and contributor in Abbotsford both on and off the ice."

Juulsen, 26, split the 2022.23 season between Vancouver and the Abbotsford Canucks (AHL), appearing in 12 games at the NHL level. Despite not factoring on the scoresheet, Juulsen registered a +1 rating, 43 hits, and 16 blocked shots during his time with the big club, ranking second among Canucks defencemen in hits per 60 minutes (14.36) and blocked shots per 60 minutes (5.37).

In 49 regular season games with Abbotsford last season, Juulsen collected 20 points (3-17-20) to rank third among all Abbotsford defencemen, while setting career-highs in assists, points, shots (74), and plus-minus (+9). The 6'2", 201-pound blueliner also appeared in five Calder Cup playoff games, adding two assists and four penalty minutes to help the Canucks reach the second round.

The six-year professional has played 68 career regular season NHL games between the Vancouver Canucks, Florida Panthers, and Montreal Canadiens, accumulating 10 points (2-8-10), 16 penalty minutes, and an even plus-minus rating. Across 151 regular season AHL games with the Abbotsford Canucks, Syracuse Crunch, and Laval Rocket, Juulsen has posted 46 points (7-39-46) and 111 penalty minutes. He has also played in three AHL postseasons with Abbotsford and the St. John's IceCaps, recording two points (0-2-2) over nine games.

A native of Abbotsford, BC, Juulsen was originally selected by the Montreal Canadiens in the first round, 26th overall in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft.
