Vancouver, B.C. - Vancouver Canucks General Manager Jim Benning announced today that the club has claimed forward Travis Boyd off waivers.

Boyd, 27, has recorded 8 points (3-5-8) in 20 games played with the Toronto Maple Leafs this season while averaging 9:40 in time on ice per game. The 6'0", 190-pound forward has collected 39 points (11-28-39) and 12 penalty minutes in 105 career NHL games with Toronto and Washington.

Travis Boyd 2021 NHL Highlights

In six career NHL playoff games with the Capitals, Boyd has registered one goal on six shots, appearing in one game during Washington's 2018 Stanley Cup Championship run.
The Hopkins, Minnesota native has also played in 221 regular season AHL games, all with the Hershey Bears, recording 172 points (57-115-172) and 56 penalty minutes. He has posted three goals and 14 assists in 33 career Calder Cup playoff games with Hershey and helped the team reach the 2016 Calder Cup Finals.
Boyd was originally selected by the Washington Capitals in the sixth round, 177th overall, at the 2011 NHL Entry Draft.
