The Canucks will conclude their home schedule on May 18 vs the Calgary Flames with their first ever Frontline Workers Appreciation Night, presented by BCLC. The evening will be a tribute to the many frontline heroes who have continued to work tirelessly throughout the pandemic to keep British Columbians safe. In addition to the Frontline Workers Appreciation night on May 18, the Canucks are proud to again launch the Fan Hero Awards, presented by BCLC. The Fan Hero Awards will match the names of the Team Awards while celebrating the passion, dedication, and support of everyday heroes and the personal contributions they have made in communities throughout BC.

SLUMP BUSTERS

With Tyler Graovac cashing in on Vancouver's second power play of the night on May 16/21 vs Calgary, the Canucks busted a season-high nine-game streak without a power play goal, which included an 0-for-22 run. Brock Boeser also scored on the man-advantage just over five minutes later, marking the fourth time this season that Vancouver scored multiple PPGs in a game.

TRIPLE THREAT

Collecting three assists on May 16/21 vs Calgary, Quinn Hughes recorded his sixth career three-assist game, tying Jyrki Lumme for second-most by a Canucks defenceman in franchise history. Hughes accomplished the milestone in just his 127th career game, bettering Lumme who accomplished the feat in 542 games. He now only trails Dennis Kearns for the most three-assist efforts (9) in franchise history (in 487 games).

BACK-TO-BACKS

Concluding their regular season with a back-to-back set against the Flames, the Canucks will finish the 2020.21 campaign with 11 back-to-backs, which will end up as fourth-most in the NHL this season behind Buffalo (14), Philadelphia (12), and St. Louis (12).

DÉJÀ VU

Despite ultimately falling 6-5 in overtime on May 16/21 vs Calgary, the game marked the first time since Mar. 6/00 vs Toronto (6-5 OTL) that the Canucks overcame a four-goal deficit to force overtime. In both cases, Vancouver's rally included four third-period goals, with two coming at even strength and one each on the power play and shorthanded. The Canucks more recently erased a four-goal deficit on Oct. 24/00 at Nashville where the contest ended in a 4-4 tie.

It also marks the 11th time in club history that they'll play three games in four nights to finish a season, and the first time that all three of their final games will be against the same opponent (Calgary).

Tallying two goals in Vancouver's third-period comeback effort on May 16/21 vs Calgary, Brock Boeser improved to 45 points (22-23-45) in 54 games this season, matching his point total from last season in three fewer games.
