Community Heroes PR - MW - 2565x1444 (002)

Vancouver, B.C.- The Vancouver Canucks are excited to announce further details today about their Community Heroes Night, presented by BCLC, on February 18th against the Philadelphia Flyers. This night will recognize and celebrate people who have made a positive impact in their communities and on those around them.

"It is a tremendous honour for the Vancouver Canucks to host this season's Community Heroes and recognize their incredible work within British Columbia," said Michael Doyle, President, Canucks Sports & Entertainment, Business Operations. "We are so fortunate to live in a province that values community, giving back, and taking care of one another. This game gives us a chance to show our gratitude towards some amazing people, including members of the Greater Victoria Emergency Response Team who were involved in the 2022 Saanich bank armed robbery, and Vernon resident Jonny Rockall who rushed to the aid of a recreational hockey player and administered life-saving CPR."
This game encompasses the season-long BCLC Community Heroes Program, currently in its third year. Heroes can be nominated all season long to attend a Canucks home game and crank the siren at the beginning of each period. BCLC is proud to support the Community Heroes Night program and honour the impeccable work of everyday heroes.
In addition to welcoming this year's Community Heroes, the Canucks are pleased to welcome CultivATE Food Truck on the North Plaza pre-game to offer fans delicious meals while supporting charities and people who are impacted by hardships. All profits raised through CultivATE Food Truck sales are donated to relief efforts and charities that assist both local and global initiatives.
