Vancouver, B.C. - For the first time in nearly 19 months, Rogers Arena will be hosting fans on Sunday when the Vancouver Canucks faceoff against the Winnipeg Jets at 4pm. With final preparations underway, the team announced several updates today as Canucks Sports & Entertainment readies to open the doors again this weekend.

"We can't wait to finally welcome our season ticket members back on Sunday," said Michael Doyle, President, Canucks Sports & Entertainment, Business Operations. "We have a young, exciting team and I know the players and coaches can't wait to feel the energy in the building again. You can feel the excitement in our office as well. Our staff is buzzing as we prepare to welcome everyone back."
Rogers Arena will be operating at 50 percent capacity during the pre-season, per the current Provincial Health Order. Sunday's game will also only be attended by season ticket members and their guests. An announcement about single-game tickets for regular season Canucks games is expected next week. Vancouver's home-opener is on October 26 vs. the Minnesota Wild.
Sunday's game will begin with a special pre-game ceremony to conclude a week-long recognition of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. A traditional land acknowledgement and official welcome will be presented by representatives from the Musqueam, Squamish and Tsleil-Waututh Nations. A moment of silence will then be held in honour of the generations of children and families affected by Canada's residential school system. Afterwards, drummers will perform the Coast Salish anthem, before the Canadian anthem is sung by Squamish Nation singer Michelle Bardech.
