The Canucks face off against the Anaheim Ducks tonight in their fourth of four games this season. Vancouver has gone 1-2-0 in the season series to date. Vancouver is 2-3-0 in their last five games against Anaheim.
Tonight marks the fourth of a season-long seven-game homestand that also sees visits from Los Angeles (Mar. 28), Dallas (Mar. 30) and San Jose (Apr. 2).

MORNING SKATE UPDATE

Quinn Hughes, Ben Hutton and Josh Leivo all took part in Canucks morning skate today. Leivo is expected to return to the line-up tonight after missing Sunday's game because of sickness, while Hughes and Hutton will not play. The Canucks practice Wednesday and both could take part in a full team skate, which means they could suit up Thursday vs. the Kings.
Josh Teves will make his NHL debut tonight, two weeks after signing with the Canucks. The 24-year-old defenceman skated with Alex Biega this morning and will likely be paired with the veteran tonight. Teves said his parents Armando and Pippa are traveling in from Calgary for the game.

Markstrom ranks tied for 10th in the League in wins (27) and third in shots against (1,799) and total saves (1,643). His .923 save percentage since Feb. 1 ranks eighth in the League (min. 15 GP).

THE ROOKIE

Elias Petterson set a new franchise record for most points in a rookie season (61) with an assist on Mar. 18 at CHI, moving him past Pavel Bure and Ivan Hlinka who previously held the record with 60 points each. He now sits at 64 points.
Pettersson not only leads his team but all rookies in goals (27), points (64), assists (37), power-play goals (9), power-play points (20), game-winning goals (7), and points per game (0.98).
Pettersson is currently eighth for most points scored by a Swedish-born player in their rookie season all-time.

With his 14th multi-point game this season on Feb. 25 vs ANA, Elias Pettersson moved into 4th all-time in Canucks rookies multi-point games (Pavel Bure leads the way with 18).
Elias Pettersson is one 10 players who have scored at least 25 goals in their first 44 games played, aged 20 or younger (Ovechkin, Martin, Murdoch, Bossy, Lindros, Robitaille, Yzerman, Gretzky, Hawerchuk, Boeser).
Pettersson was named to Team Pacific Division for the 2019 NHL All-Star Game. He became the youngest Canucks player and just the third Canucks rookie (Tallon, Boeser) named to the honour. He participated in the Fastest Skater and Puck Control Relay.
With his seventh GWG Jan. 2 at OTT, Pettersson established a new Canucks single-season record for most GWG scored by a rookie.
With a hat trick on Jan. 2 at OTT, Pettersson became just the fourth active player to accumulate 40 or more career points within his first 40 NHL games. He also became the first rookie in Canucks franchise history to score a hat trick that included an OTG. He is the eighth Canucks rookie to net a hat trick.
Pettersson, who led all rookies with seven goals and 10 points in eight games (7-3-10) in October, was named the NHL's Rookie of the Month for October. He was named the NHL's second star of the week ending November 4th (sharing the League lead with four goals and ranked third overall with seven points in three games) and was named first star of the week ending December 9th (after leading the NHL with eight points (2-6-8) in three games).
With five points (1-4-5) on Dec. 9 at STL, Pettersson became the sixth rookie since 1967-68 to record multiple outings with at least five points in a single season. He also registered five points (2-3-5) on Nov. 2 vs COL.
