A collection of draft picks, signees and invitees will gather in Vancouver July 2-5 for the 2018 Canucks Development Camp.

A total of 12 Canucks draft picks will be in attendance, including five of the six selections from the recent 2018 NHL Draft.
With lots of new faces this year, we went to work breaking down the roster to see what we can find.

Breaking it down

• 30 players will be attending camp, which includes 14 forwards, 12 defenceman and four goaltenders.
• Four different countries will be represented as 22 are Canadian, five are American, two are from Finland, and one from Sweden.
• The OHL leads the way with seven players from last season, six played in the NCAA, while the WHL sits at five players.
Corbin Boes is the oldest attendee at 24 years of age (July 18, 1993). The goaltender was teammates with current Canucks Brendan Leipsic and Derrick Pouliot on the Portland Winterhawks in 2013-14.
• Second-round pick Jett Woo is the youngest at just 17 years of age (July 27, 2000).
• Invitee Sahvan Khaira is the tallest in camp at 6-foot-4, while Petrus Palmu is the shortest at 5-foot-6.
Corbin Boes tips the scale at 224 pounds as the heaviest player in camp, 72 pounds heavier than the lightest in camp, Tyler Madden.

Family roots?

Chris Paquette's cousin, Cédric, plays for the Tampa Bay Lightning.
Issac Nurse is the younger brother of Canadian Women's Olympic Team forward Sarah Nurse and cousins with Oilers defenceman Darnell Nurse, as well as the nephew of former NFL quarterback Donovan McNabb.
Colton Poolman's brother, Tucker, played 24 games with the Winnipeg Jets last season.
Quinn Hughes' cousin, Ted Doherty, played three seasons at Boston College with Canucks prospect Thatcher Demko.
Sahvan Khaira's brother, Jujhar, is a forward for the Edmonton Oilers.
Christian Purboo's brother, Cole, is a teammate of Canucks prospect Michael Dipietro on the Windsor Spitfires, while Christian played with Quinn Hughes' brother, Jack, at the OHL Cup during the 2015-16 season.

Speaking of teammates…

Matthew Thiessen and Jett Woo were teammates on Team Manitoba at the 2015 Western Canada U16 Challenge Cup. They lost in the gold medal game to Team Alberta.
Colton Poolman and Mitchell Prowse played one game together with the Penticton Vees in 2015-16.
Mitchell Prowse, Tyler Soy and Sahvan Khaira all attended the Okanagan Hockey Academy in Penticton, while Prowse and Soy have played together the past two seasons with Victoria, and Soy and Khaira played bantam hockey together in Cloverdale.
Petrus Palmu and Jonah Gadjovich were teammates for three seasons in Owen Sound.

Former draft picks…

A couple players were drafted by other NHL teams, but are now free agents: Chris Paquette was selected in the fifth round by Tampa Bay in 2016, Anthony Salinitri was a sixth-round pick of Philadelphia's in 2016, while Tyler Soy was Anaheim's seventh round pick in 2016.
• Soy is the Victoria Royals all-time leader in points (327), goals (151) and assists (176), as well as games played (323).

Invitee to keep an eye on…

Adam Rockwood tallied 48 points (8-40-48) in 43 games at Northern Michigan University last season, finishing in a tie for eighth in NCAA scoring and led the nation in assists. Rockwood sat out the entire 2016-17 season as a NCAA Transfer Year after spending two seasons at the University of Wisconsin.
Prior to playing collegiate hockey, the Coquitlam, B.C. product played two seasons with the BCHL's Coquitlam Express, leading the BCHL in assists and helping the Express win the league championship in 2014.

Invitee to root for…

Garrett McFadden is a two-time recipient of the OHL's Dan Snyder Memorial Trophy as Humanitarian of the Year, the only two-time winner in league history. McFadden is doing some remarkable work with mental health awareness.

The Kincardine, Ont. product just wrapped up his five-year OHL career, all with the Guelph Storm. He appeared in four AHL games with the Laval Rocket at the end of the season.
