RETURN OF THE MAC

Former Canucks forward Zack MacEwen makes his return to Rogers Arena tonight with the Flyers after being claimed by Philadelphia on Oct. 13. MacEwen spent his first four professional seasons with the Canucks organization, compiling nine points (6-3-9) and 69 penalty minutes in 55 games with Vancouver and an additional 96 points (37-59-96) and 156 penalty minutes in 155 games with the Utica Comets.

RECORD SETTING STREAKS

Posting 1G-1A in his team's 4-2 win at Seattle's inaugural home opener on Oct. 23, Conor Garland became the first player in Canucks history to record a season-opening, six-game point streak to start his tenure with the franchise. Garland joined Mike Walton (1977-78), Tony Tanti ('83-84), Barry Pederson ('88-89), Trevor Linden ('95-96), Henrik Sedin ('10-11) &Daniel Sedin ('10-11) as the only Canucks to start a season with a 6+ game point streak.

QUINN-TESSENTIAL CANUCK

Registering an assist on Tanner Pearson's game-winning goal on Oct. 21 at CHI, Quinn Hughes became the fastest defenceman in Canucks history to reach 100 points (12-88-100), accomplishing the feat in just 133 games. No active NHL defenceman has reached the 100 point milestone in fewer games, and Hughes is the fastest NHL defenceman since Vladimir Malakhov (125 GP, 1993.94) to reach the mark. Hughes also reached 90 career assists in fewer games (134) than all but 4 defencemen in NHL history: Mark Howe (116), Sergei Zubov (118), Stefan Persson (120) and Larry Murphy (129).
