  • The beneficiaries the Canucks for Kids Fund supports continue to be impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, and the important needs of these organizations, still need funding.The funds raised will support beneficiaries, including the Canucks Autism Network, Canuck Place Children's Hospice, and BC Children's Hospital as they adapt to this new world and how they provide the vital care and programs that their kids and families depend on.

ROOKIE RANKINGS

  • Quinn Hughes has been nominated for the Calder Trophy, awarded annually to the NHL's Rookie of the Year. Hughes was among three finalists named, along with Colorado Avalanche defenceman Cale Makar and Chicago Blackhawks left winger Dominik Kubalik
  • Quinn Hughes led all rookies with 15 points (2-13-15) through 13 games in February and was named the NHL's "Rookie of the Month."
  • Quinn Hughes notched his 43rd assist of 2019-20 on Feb. 27/20 at OTT, establishing a Canucks record for most in a season by a rookie, surpassing the previous record of 42 set by fellow defenceman Dale Tallon in 1970-71.
  • Hughes holds the Canucks franchise record for most power play points by a rookie (25).
  • Quinn Hughes ranked first among rookies in scoring with 53 points (8-45-53) and was just three points shy of matching the Canucks single-season record for a rookie defenceman.
  • Quinn Hughes joined Nicklas Lidstrom (1991-92) as the second defenceman in NHL history to be the first rookie to reach the 50-point mark in a season.
  • Hughes scored each of his two goals in February in a 4-3 overtime win against the New York Islanders Feb. 1, capping his first career multi-goal game with the overtime tally. He became the sixth different rookie defenceman in franchise history to record a multi-goal game.
  • Hughes posted three assists in a 6-2 victory Feb. 10 against the Nashville Predators to become the second rookie defenceman in NHL history to record four three-assist games in a season, joining Ray Bourque who also had four in 1979-80.

FIRST IMPRESSIONS

  • Tyler Toffoli scored the OT GWG on Feb. 25/20 at MTL and was named the first star of the game. Toffoli is 6-4-10 (10 GP) with the Canucks in 2019.20.
  • Tyler Toffoli recorded three points (2-1-3) on his second game as a Canuck and was named the first star of the game, Feb. 22/20 vs. BOS.
  • J.T. Miller became the fourth player in Canucks history to record 70 or more points in his first season with the club. The others: Alexander Mogilny: 107 in 1995-96 Greg Adams: 76 in 1987-88 Barry Pederson: 76 in 1986-87
  • J.T. Miller joined Alexander Mogilny (30) and Barry Pederson (20) as the third player to record at least 20 multi-point games in his first season with the Canucks.
