DON'T CALL IT A COMEBACK

On Aug. 7/20 at MIN the Canucks overcame a multi-goal deficit to win a postseason game for the fifth time in franchise history, following Game 1 of the 1991 Division Semifinals, Game 5 of the 1994 Conference Finals, Game 2 of the 1995 Conference Quarterfinals and Game 1 of the 2003 Conference Semifinals. Game 5 of the 1994 Conference Finals was the only other instance in which Vancouver did so in series-clinching fashion.

STARTING OFF ON THE RIGHT FOOT

  • Quinn Hughes recorded 3 assists (0-3-3) on Aug. 6/20 at MIN becoming the third rookie in Canucks history to record 3 or more points in a postseason contest, joining Pavel Bure (3-0-3 in Game 6 and 1-3-4 in Game 5 of the 1992 DSF) and Trevor Linden (1-3-4 in Game 4 of the 1989 DSF).
  • Quinn Hughes is the eighth defenceman in NHL history - and the fourth rookie among the cohort - with 7+ points through his first five postseason games.
