TAN MAN CAN

• Chris Tanev became the fifth Canuck defenceman in franchise history to notch an overtime goal in the postseason on Aug. 7/20 against MIN. He joins Kevin Bieksa, Brent Sopel, Colin Campbell and Paul Reinhart.
• On Aug. 7/20 Chris Tanev (1-2-3) tallied just 11 seconds into overtime after the Canucks overcame deficits of 1-0, 3-1 and 4-3 in regulation to power Vancouver to its first postseason series win since 2011 when they reached the Stanley Cup Final. The goal was tied for the second-fastest from the start of a postseason overtime period in NHL history, behind only the mark of nine seconds set by Montreal's Brian Skrudland in Game 2 of the 1986 Stanley Cup Final.

HERO HORVAT

• On Aug. 14/20, Bo Horvat scored in overtime to mark his sixth goal in as many playoff games this year. Only one player in Canucks history has recorded more goals through their first six games of a postseason: Mikael Samuelsson (7-4-11 in 6 GP in 2010).
• Horvat also become the third player in Canucks history to record a multi-goal game in two or more consecutive contests, joining Geoff Courtnall (2 GP in 1994) and Cliff Ronning (2 GP in 1992).
• Bo Horvat scored his fifth goal of the 2020 postseason on Aug. 14/20 to extends his goal streak to three games - the longest playoff goal streak by a Canucks player since Alexandre Burrows in 2011 (3 GP).

CALDER CONTENDER

• On Aug. 14/20 Hughes became the sixth rookie defenseman in NHL history to record a point in five or more consecutive playoff games (1-7-8) - only two rookie defenceman in NHL history have posted a longer playoff point streak than Hughes.
• Quinn Hughes has most points by a rookie defenceman in his first 6 career playoff games (8).
• Quinn Hughes (1-1-2) scored the first postseason goal of his NHL career on Aug. 7/20 at MIN and became the fourth rookie blueliner with a playoff marker with Vancouver, joining Neil Belland (Game 3 of 1982 CF), Garth Butcher (Game 4 of 1983 DSF) and Adrian Aucoin (Game 7 of 1995 COF).

DON'T CALL IT A COMEBACK

On Aug. 7/20 at MIN the Canucks overcame a multi-goal deficit to win a postseason game for the fifth time in franchise history, following Game 1 of the 1991 Division Semifinals, Game 5 of the 1994 Conference Finals, Game 2 of the 1995 Conference Quarterfinals and Game 1 of the 2003 Conference Semifinals. Game 5 of the 1994 Conference Finals was the only other instance in which Vancouver did so in series-clinching fashion.

STARTING OFF ON THE RIGHT FOOT

• Elias Pettersson assisted on the Canucks second goal on Aug. 14/20 to extend his point streak to five games (2-4-6) - tied for the longest point streak of the 2020 postseason.

RECORD BREAKING

• Tyler Motte blocked 7 shots on Aug. 6/20, a Canucks franchise playoff record for a game decided in regulation.
