HERO HORVAT

  • On Aug. 14/20, Bo Horvat scored in overtime to mark his sixth goal in as many playoff games this year. Only one player in Canucks history has recorded more goals through their first six games of a postseason: Mikael Samuelsson (7-4-11 in 6 GP in 2010).
  • Horvat also become the third player in Canucks history to record a multi-goal game in two or more consecutive contests, joining Geoff Courtnall (2 GP in 1994) and Cliff Ronning (2 GP in 1992). Tyler Mott is now the 4th to achieve this milestone.
  • Bo Horvat scored his fifth goal of the 2020 postseason on Aug. 14/20 to extends his goal streak to three games - the longest playoff goal streak by a Canucks player since Alexandre Burrows in 2011 (3 GP).

• Quinn Hughes currently ranks 2nd among all defenceman in 2019.20 postseason points (1-9-10).

• Quinn Hughes (1-9-10 in 10 GP) became the fourth rookie defenceman to reach 10 career postseason points in 10 games or fewer, joining Gary Suter (2-8-10 in 9 GP), Al MacInnis (1-9-10 in 9 GP) and Ray Bourque (2-8-10 in 9 GP).

• On Aug. 16/20 Quinn Hughes matched the longest point streak by a rookie defenseman in NHL history, set by Al MacInnis (6 GP in 1984 w/ CGY) and equaled by Zarley Zalapski (6 GP in 1989 w/ PIT).

• Hughes tied Henrik Sedin for a Canucks franchise record with six consecutive postseason games with an assist.

STARTING OFF ON THE RIGHT FOOT

• Elias Pettersson collected two assists on Aug. 21/20 to boost his 2020 postseason totals to 4-9-13 in 10 games. Among players to debut with the Canucks, his 13 points are the most by any player through his first 10 career playoff games with the franchise, besting the previous mark held by Thomas Gradin (5-6-11 in 10 GP). Only four active players collected more points through their first 10 career playoff games: David Pastrnak (6-9-15 w/ BOS), Nathan MacKinnon (5-10-15 w/ COL), Sidney Crosby (5-10-15 w/ PIT) and Eric Staal (4-10-14 w/ CAR).

REMARKABLE

• On Aug. 21/20 Jacob Markstrom joined Kirk McLean in 1994 as the only goalies in Canucks history to make 30+ saves in 5 straight playoff games. • With 213 saves in the St. Louis series, Jacob Markstrom surpasses Roberto Luongo (209) for most saves in the first 6 games.

DON'T CALL IT A COMEBACK

• On Aug. 19/20 the Canucks overcame a multi-goal deficit to win a contest for the second time this postseason, following Game 4 of the Stanley Cup Qualifiers (5-4 OT W at MIN). It marked the first time in which the Canucks recorded multiple multi-goal comeback wins in a single postseason.
