ARLINGTON, Va. - Washington Capitals players Braden Holtby, Nate Schmidt and Tom Wilson will serve as Muscle Team Members during the Muscular Dystrophy Association's 2016 Muscle Team Gala on Thursday, Nov. 17, at 6 p.m. at the Renaissance Arlington Capital View in Arlington, Va.

The Muscle Team Gala showcases the strength of the Greater Washington, D.C., community to help others live longer and grow stronger.

As Muscle Team Members, Holtby, Schmidt and Wilson will spend time with MDA families by being paired with an MDA buddy for the evening. The event features a VIP reception with the Muscle Team from 6-7 p.m., cocktails and a silent auction form 7-8 p.m. and a dinner and live auction from 8-10 p.m.

All proceeds of the event fuel the mission of the Muscular Dystrophy Association: to save and improve lives and to support kids and adults with muscular dystrophy, ALS and other diseases that take away strength and mobility.
