ARLINGTON, Va.- The Washington Capitals have signed right wing
Anthony Peluso
to a one-year, two-way contract ($650,000/$250,000), senior vice president and general manager Brian MacLellan announced today.

Peluso, 28, has recorded 14 points (4g, 10a) in 142 career NHL games with the Winnipeg Jets. The 6'3", 235-pound right wing made his NHL debut on Feb. 12, 2013 against Philadelphia and earned his first NHL points with two assists on Feb. 26, 2013 against the NY Rangers. Peluso scored his first NHL goal on Oct. 24, 2013 at Nashville and recorded career highs in assists (4) and points (5) during the 2015-16 season. He was drafted by St. Louis in the sixth round, 160th overall, in the 2007 NHL Draft. The North York, Ont., native tallied two assists in 22 games with the Manitoba Moose (AHL) last season and has earned 31 points (15g, 16a) in 203 career AHL games with Manitoba and Peoria.
