At most NHL games, it's pretty standard for fans to bring custom made signs and hold them up for the players to (hopefully) see during warm-ups. A lot of times, the signs go unnoticed -- but not tonight.
Caps fan Julia Pettella from King City, ON knew she wanted to make a sign that would stand out for the game. It struck her that she should make one that moves and Evgeny Kuznetsov's bird celebration just made the most sense to her. Pettella flew into Toronto this morning after attending the Kings game in Los Angeles with her dad and brought the sign to the game tonight. She noticed most Caps players looking at the sign during warm-ups, but she initially wasn't sure if the man on the sign saw it - until she went on Twitter and saw this video:

As a die hard Capitals fan, the excitement of knowing Kuzy saw her sign was overwhelming. Pettella began crying happy tears. Throughout the night, her friends have been sending her the video. "It's the best day of my life," Pettella said. "Only behind the Caps winning the Stanley Cup last year." Brittany McCaughey helped contribute to this story
