Terry has scored 19 points (11 goals, eight assists) on his streak, the longest in the NHL this season. John Gibson made 21 saves for Anaheim (8-4-3), which won in its first game against Seattle.
"[Terry] is playing the right way," said Anaheim captain Ryan Getzlaf, who had three assists. "It's ultimately what we've been working on for the last year and a half. Basically, it's his understanding situations in the game … as you get better, as you get more confident with the puck, you're able to make more plays, but ultimately, he's making those little plays that change the game, changing momentum and allow him space. And obviously, he's got the confidence right now in finishing."
Jared McCann scored twice in his return after missing six games in NHL COVID-19 protocol for Seattle (4-9-1), which lost its third straight. Philipp Grubauer made 27 saves.
Mason McTavish scored to give the Ducks a 1-0 lead at 4:42 in the first period when he found a loose puck in front of the net. Anaheim outshot Seattle 14-4 in the first period.
"The first 25 to 30 minutes of the hockey game we didn't win very many of the races or many of the puck battles," Seattle coach Dave Hakstol said. "When you get behind like that it's hard to dig out ... We expect ourselves to be better than that and to start better here at home and ultimately, we didn't do that. We really weren't able to push back that's probably one of the biggest things."
