J.J. Moser and Milos Kelemen scored, but the Arizona Coyotes dropped the last game of their homestand 7-2 to the San Jose Sharks at Mullett Arena on Saturday.
Noah Gregor notched a hat trick, and Jacob Peterson, Kyle Criscuolo, Danil Gushchin, and Logan Couture each added goals for the Sharks, who won their third straight game. Kaapo Kahkonen made 22 saves to earn his ninth win of the season.

"We're disappointed, especially in front of our fans," head coach André Tourigny said. "This is the kind of game we'd hope would be 3,000 miles away from here. Unfortunately, you need to take the good with the ugly sometimes and bounce back."
Gregor opened the scoring at 1:30 of the first, snapping a wrist shot from the high slot past goalie Ivan Prosvetov. Peterson gave the Sharks a 2-0 cushion with a power-play goal at 8:38, and Criscuolo made it 3-0 just under five minutes later.
Moser brought Arizona to within two at 17:07 of the first with a power-play goal of his own, corralling a pass from Matias Maccelli with his skate before wristing it over Kahkonen from the top of the right faceoff dot.

Not much else went the Coyotes' way following Moser's goal, though.
"We weren't fast enough, we weren't sharp enough in our head mentally," Moser said. "They were always a step quicker."
Gushchin restored San Jose's three-goal lead less than two minutes into the second with the Sharks' second power-play goal of the game, snapping a shot from the left circle over Prosvetov's blocker.
Barrett Hayton appeared to bring the Coyotes to within two goals early in the third, but San Jose challenged for goaltender interference, and the goal was ultimately waved off after officials determined Hayton pushed Kahkonen's pad, causing the puck to go in.
Gregor scored twice in the third and Couture added a power-play goal. Kelemen's tally at 15:10 rounded out the scoring, and it marked the 23-year-old's first career NHL goal.

Moser said the Coyotes will look to regroup prior to its upcoming roadtrip to the Pacific Northwest.
"We'll talk about it tomorrow, what happened, and find solutions," he said. "We need to be faster in everything we do, be more sharp, and be more aggressive."
The Coyotes play two games in Seattle next week, starting on Monday. Puck drop is scheduled for 7 pm MST, and the game will be broadcast on Bally Sports Arizona Extra (TV) and ESPN 620 AM (Radio).
