The New Jersey Devils announced on Tuesday morning that forward prospect Fabian Zetterlund has been loaned in HC Vita Hästen of HockeyAllsvenskan, in his native Sweden.
The 21-year-old completed his first professional season, playing in 46 games for the Binghamton Devils. The 2017 draft pick scored eight goals and 11 assists in 46 games in his first season playing in North America.
In May 2019, he signed a three-year, entry level contract with New Jersey, moving to North America after playing his hockey in Sweden's Färjestad system since 2015. Zetterland was drafted by New Jersey in the third round, 63rd overall in the 2017 Entry Draft.
In 2018, Zetterlund won a silver medal at the U20 World Junior Championship alongside fellow Devils prospect Jesper Boqvist.
