New Jersey Devils General Manager Tom Fitzgerald announced on Wednesday the signing of three players in the New Jersey system.
Forward Brett Seney, who appeared in 51 games for New Jersey during the 2018-19 season and suited up for two this past year, re-signs a one-year, two-way contract worth $700,000 at the NHL level and $250,000 at the AHL level. Seney played a vital role in the success of the Binghamton Devils, before the season was canceled, as the team's leading scorer, contributing a career-high 19 goals and 25 assists (44pts) in 61 games.
Captain of the Binghamton Devils, Ben Street also agreed to terms with the club, signing a one-year, two-way contract worth $750,000 at the NHL level and $425,000 at the AHL level. Street was named captain of the AHL team, serving as both a leader on and off the ice. In 2019-20, Street finished behind Seney in club scoring, finishing the year second in with 15 goals and 27 assists for 42 points in 49 games played.
Defenseman Josh Jacobs remains in the New Jersey system after signing a one-year, two-way contract worth $700,000 at the NHL level and $130,000 at the AHL level. As well as suiting up for 54 games with Binghamton, Jacobs played two games at the NHL level in 2019-20. He has a total of 53 points, nine goals and 44 assists, in his 228 AHL games.
