Switzerland: Nico Hischier, Jonas Siegenthaler
Devils captain Nico Hischier scored early in the third period to tie the game but Russia scored three more in the final game to defeat the Swiss 4-1. Hischier led all Swiss forwards with 19:38 of ice time while Jonas Siegenthaler led all defensemen with 20:22. Siegenthaler was -1 with one shot on goal.

Switzerland fell to 3-0-0-2 in the tournament but are still in good shape to make the playoffs in third place in Group A. Russia remains at the top of Group A at 4-0-0-1, tied with Slovakia for that position.
In five games, Hischier has a goal and two assists for three points and six shots on goal. Siegenthaler is +1 with no points in four games during the current World Championship.

USA 2, NORWAY 1
USA: Matt Tennyson, Matt Hellickson
There was a goal scored in each period as USA defeated Norway 2-1. The Americans' Conor Garland scored midway through the first and Tage Thompson, brother of Devils prospect Tyce Thompson, scored midway through the second to make it 2-0. Norway's Ken Andre Olimb added a goal in the third to narrow the gap.
Devils blueliners Matt Tennyson and Matt Hellickson each had around 18 minutes of ice time. Hellickson was +1 while Tennyson was even with one shot on goal.
The win moved USA within a point of Finland for top spot in Group B with a record of 4-0-0-1. Norway fell to 1-1-0-4 with one game left.

SLOVAKIA 2, DENMARK 0
Slovakia: Marian Studenic
Slovakia scored twice in the third period to win a defensive battle 2-0 over Denmark and maintain a share of top spot in Group A.
Devils forward Marian Studenic had two shots on goal in 11:43 of ice time. Studenic has one assist through five games in the tournament and a + rating.
Slovakia is tied with Russia for first in Group A at 4-0-0-1. Denmark falls to 2-1-0-3.
