The New Jersey Devils have recalled forwards Jesper Boqvist and Tyce Thompson from Utica of the American Hockey League. Both will take part in Tuesday's morning skate at Prudential Center prior to the contest against Florida.
Boqvist, 23, ranks second on Utica in scoring with eight points (2G-6A) while adding a plus-6. The team's second-round pick (37th overall) in 2017 has appeared in 63 career NHL games for New Jersey, tallying eight goals and 11 points.
Thompson, who joined Utica following a training camp injury, has notched four goals and seven points in seven games for the Comets. Thompson, 22, made his pro debut during the 2020-21 season, playing in seven NHL games for New Jersey, posting one assist, and 11 contests for Binghamton of the AHL, notching four points (2G-2A). The team's fourth-round pick (96th overall) in 2019 played three seasons of collegiate hockey with Providence College.
