Forward Jesper Bratt is entering an unknown off-season. He will be a restricted free agent, meaning both that he needs to sign a new contract and that the Devils retain his rights.
There is much work to be done on both sides to reach an agreement. But one thing they do both agree on is that both sides want Bratt to be a Devil for a longtime to come.
"I want to be part of the solution. I want to be here," Bratt told the Speak of the Devils podcast. "I know it's a business decision and that's something I have to accept. We'll see where the future goes. I'm going to do everything I can to make myself a better player and become better every day. That's where my focus will be. Hopefully, everything goes smooth."
