Devils Re-Sign Colton White to a One-Year, Two-Way Contract I RELEASE

Newark, NJ - The New Jersey Devils today re-signed restricted free-agent defenseman Colton White to a one-year, two-way contract worth $750,000 at the NHL level and $130,000 at the AHL level. The announcement was made by New Jersey Devils Executive Vice President/General Manager Tom Fitzgerald.
White, 24, has skated in 11 career NHL games over three seasons with New Jersey, from 2018-19 to 2020-21, including two contests in 2020-21. The blueliner made his NHL debut on March 13, 2019, against the Edmonton Oilers.

White has also spent parts of the last four seasons (2017-18 to 2020-21) with New Jersey's American Hockey League affiliate (AHL), Binghamton Devils, recording 58-career points (11G-47A) in 190 regular-season contests. He ranked seventh on Binghamton with 30 points (7G-23A) in 2018-19 and was named an alternate captain for the 2020-2021 season.
Born on May 3, 1997, the native on London, Ontario, was New Jersey's fourth selection, 97th overall, in the 2015 NHL Draft. Prior to his professional experience, the 6-foot-1, 185-pound defenseman spent four seasons in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) with the Soo Greyhounds from 2013-14 to 2016-17. White totaled 93 career points (21G-72A) in 256 regular-season contests for the Soo and was named an alternate captain for the 2015-16 and 2016-17 campaigns. Additionally, White was an OHL All-Star in 2016-17 and the blueliner appeared in 46 career playoff games while collecting nine points (1G-8A) for the Greyhounds.
