Newark, NJ - The National Hockey League's New Jersey Devils will open their 40th season on Thursday, October 13, on the road when they play the Philadelphia Flyers at 7:00pm. The Devils open their home schedule against the Detroit Red Wings two nights later, with a Saturday night matchup at 7:00pm at Prudential Center.

The Devils have 12 sets of back-to-back games on the calendar- six road/home, one home/road, and five road/road. Additionally, the club will play three games in four days on nine separate occasions.
New Jersey's schedule away from "The Rock" includes a season-high five-game road trip: Tue., Jan. 10, at Carolina, Fri., Jan. 13, at Anaheim, Sat., Jan. 14, at Los Angeles, Mon., Jan. 16, at San Jose and Thur., Jan. 19, at Seattle.

The team also has three three-game road trips (Nov. 1-5, Nov. 15-19 & Mar. 1-5), and one four-game trip (Feb. 11-18). The team concludes the road portion of its schedule on Thur., Apr. 13, at Washington.
All Devils home games will have a 7:00pm start time except for: Oct. 22 vs. SJ & Jan. 7 vs. NYR (1:00pm); Oct. 30 vs. CBJ & Jan. 22 vs. Pit. (2:00pm); Jan. 1 vs. Car. (3:00pm), Feb. 6 vs. Van. (7:30pm).

ESPN, Turner Sports, Sportsnet and TVA Sports are the NHL's national broadcast partners for the 2022-23 season and will provide comprehensive coverage throughout the season. Under the National Hockey League's scheduling matrix, the Devils games are assigned as follows:
· 26 games vs. Metropolitan Division opposition:
o four games (two home/two road) vs. five clubs (Car., NYR, PHI, PIT., Wsh.);
o one team (CBJ) for three games split two home/one road
o one team (NYI) for three games split one home/two road
· 24 matches vs. Atlantic Division teams: three games vs. each team:
o two home/one road vs. Bos., Ott., TBL and Tor.
o one home/two road vs. Buf., Det., Fla., and Mtl.
· 32 games vs. the 16 Western Conference clubs (one home and one road)
