The Devils are back to work Saturday focusing on takeaways from the loss against the Nashville Predators and preparing for Sunday's Hockey Fights Cancer Night against the Flyers.
Before practice, New Jersey announced that Fabian Zetterlund was assigned to the Utica Comets. Since joining the main squad on Nov. 17, the forward played three games for the Devils: Nov. 18 at Florida, Nov. 20 at Tampa, and Nov. 24 vs. Minnesota. With the Comets, Zetterlund has played 10 games and contributed nine points (3G, 6A).

All expected players were at practice including Jack Hughes who is no longer wearing a no-contact jersey in practice. In addition to participating in all drills, Hughes spent time on a penalty kill unit.
