The Devils have assigned defenseman Nikita Okhotiuk to Utica of the American Hockey League. The club has also placed forward Chase DeLeo on waivers with the intent to assign him to Utica as well.
Additionally, the club released center Mark Jankowski from his player-tryout contract.
Friday's transactions bring the training camp roster to 31 players. New Jersey must reach the 23-man roster by Monday at 5 p.m.
Forward A.J. Greer, who was placed on waivers Thursday, cleared and will be assigned to Utica.
