Fletcher, 51, joins the Devils after spending the previous nine seasons (2009-2018) as General Manager of the Minnesota Wild. In his nine seasons with the Wild, Fletcher helped lead the club to six straight playoff appearances, the second-longest active streak in the NHL. While in Pittsburgh, he also served as the General Manager of the Penguins AHL club, the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, a team that reached the Calder Cup Finals in 2007-08 and earned a division title in 2008-09. Fletcher's experience also includes being the Director of Hockey Operations, Assistant General Manager, and Vice President of Amateur Scouting/Player Development for the Anaheim Ducks from 2002-2006. From 1993-2002, he was the Assistant General Manager of the Florida Panthers. Fletcher has been to the Stanley Cup Final in a managerial role with Florida, Anaheim and Pittsburgh.
He graduated from Harvard University in 1990 and his father is Hockey Hall of Fame executive Cliff Fletcher.
Fletcher will be based out of Minnesota where he lives with his wife Rhonda. They have two children, daughter Kaitlin, who is entering her junior year at Boston College, and son Keith, who will be a high school senior in Minnesota.
