For the first time in the history of the Prospects Challenge, six teams will compete in a round-robin challenge featuring prospects from each team. The participating teams this season include host Buffalo Sabres, Boston Bruins, Montreal Canadiens, Ottawa Senators, Pittsburgh Penguins and the Devils.
The 2022 Prospects Challenge will mark the seventh edition of the tournament, which began in 2015 with Buffalo, Boston and New Jersey. This year's tournament features the teams that selected first and second overall at the 2022 NHL Draft (Montreal and New Jersey). Between them, the teams in this year's tournament have made 14 first-round selections in the last two NHL Drafts.
Tickets will go on sale in early August and will cost $10 per ticket.
