The New Jersey Devils, Prudential Center and Stop & Shop have today announced a multi-year agreement naming Stop & Shop the Exclusive Supermarket of the three-time Stanley Cup-winning NHL club and world-renowned arena in Newark, New Jersey.
Via the grocery partnership, a first in Devils history, the Devils will support Stop & Shop and its 60 New Jersey stores in several community-based initiatives and programs. A community-minded supermarket, Stop & Shop will donate 150 meals for every assist made by a Devils player at home games during the 2021-22 season to the Community Foodbank of New Jersey, Stop & Shop's longtime partner in the fight against hunger in New Jersey.
"We are incredibly proud that the first Exclusive Grocery Partnership in New Jersey Devils history would be built upon community driven endeavors and powered by a partner so committed to fighting community hunger," said Chad Biggs, Harris Blitzer Sports & Entertainment SVP of Partnerships. "In Stop & Shop, we have found a partner who is committed to using the platform of sports and entertainment to amplify their core values and community initiatives. Fans attending Devils games this season now have another reason to celebrate every assist made by our players at Prudential Center home games; as each and every assist will bring 150 community members in need one step closer to food security."
