Devils release 2017-18 preseason schedule

Newark, NJ - The New Jersey Devils' seven-game preseason schedule - all vs. Eastern Conference opponents - will consist of two home games and five road matches, including one neutral-site "road" contest.
The Devils open the 2017-18 preseason slate on Monday, Sept. 18 at home vs. Washington (7:00 p.m.). The club closes out the preseason at the Capitals on Wednesday, Sept. 27 (7:00 p.m.). New Jersey's remaining home game will be Saturday, Sept. 23 vs. the NY Rangers (7:00p.m.).

The club will have a set of road split-squad games on Monday, Sept. 25: at Ottawa (TBD) and at Barclays Center to take on the NY Islanders (7:00 p.m.).
The game against Ottawa on Sept. 25 is part of the League's annual
Kraft Hockeyville
community competition. O'Leary, Prince Edward Island was officially named this year's winner by NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman during Hockey Night in Canada on April 2. Nearly 3,000 nominations from communities across Canada were submitted for the eleventh annual campaign. This marks New Jersey's first-ever Kraft Hockeyville appearance.
The rest of the road portion of the team's pre-season schedule is: Wed., Sept. 20 at NY Rangers (7:00 p.m.); Thu., Sept. 21 at Montreal (TBD).
