Devils head equipment manager Chris Scoppetto has been named to the 2022 U.S. Men's National Team Thursday afternoon.
Scoppetto will be one of three equipment managers for Team USA, which will compete in the 2022 IIHF Men's World Championship May 13-29 in Tampere and Helsinki, Finland. Scoppetto was also a member of Team USA at the 2019 and '17 World Championships.
Scoppetto, who joined New Jersey in 2016, is in his sixth season on the Devils equipment staff and fifth as head equipment manager. He served as head equipment manager with Florida for eight seasons (2008-16) and spent 12 years as an assistant with Detroit (2005-08), Nashville (1999-05) and Phoenix (1997-99).
Scoppetto won a Stanley Cup with the Red Wings in 2008.
