ROUND 2, 46TH OVERALL - SEAMUS CASEY, D
Seamus Casey is a slick right-shooting blueliner who skated for the US National Team Development Program last season. In 48 games, he had 10 goals and 33 points with a +32 rating.
Casey is committed to the University of Michigan next season, where he'll skate alongside Devils prospects Luke Hughes and Ethan Edwards.
ROUND 4, 102ND OVERALL - TYLER BRENNAN, G
Brennan is a big goaltender at 6'4" 190 pounds and hails from Winnipeg, Manitoba. He played this past season with the Prince George Cougars of the WHL and was the top-ranked goaltender by NHL Central Scouting.
He had a 3.58 goals-against average and .898 save percentage in 39 games for the Cougars. His playoff performance was stellar with a 1.86 GAA and .954 save percentage in the three games he played.
ROUND 4, 110TH OVERALL - DANIIL ORLOV, D
Orlov is a 6'2" blueliner who has some offensive upside. Playing last season with Sakhalinskiye Akuly of the MHL (Russia's second league), he had nine goals and 30 points in 54 games.
ROUND 4, 126TH OVERALL - PETR HAUSER, F
Petr Hauser is a big (6'4") right-shooting winger who has some offensive upside. Last season, with Sparta Praha's U20 team in Czechia, he had 25 goals and 59 points in 41 games. He then added nine goals and 16 points in 11 playoff games.
ROUND 5, 141ST OVERALL - CHARLIE LEDDY, D
Devils continue to add to their haul of defensemen in this draft. He had 17 points in 55 games for the US National Development Team but his real strength is his ability to play steady on the blueline and provide some size at 6'1". Leddy is committed to Boston College for next year.
ROUND 6, 166TH OVERALL - JOSH FILMON, F
Filmon, 6'2", is primarily a left winger who played last season with the Swift Current Broncos of the Western Hockey League. He had 23 goals and 45 points in 67 games to rank third on his club.
ROUND 7, 198TH OVERALL - ARTEM BARABOSHA, D
The Devils did well with their final pick of the 2022 NHL Draft, taking Artem Barabosha from Russia. The right-shot D was ranked 79th by the Red Line Report reporting, "there's a really nice upside here for a team that's willing to wait a couple years."
Barabosha played seven games for the CKSA Moscow U18 team but spent most of the season in the MHL with Krasnaya Armiya where he had 11 points in 45 games. At 6'2" he provides both size and mobility.
