Newark, NJ - The New Jersey Devils today signed forward Kurtis Gabriel to a one-year, two-way contract worth $650,000 at the NHL level/$80,000 at the AHL level ($100,000 guaranteed). The announcement was made by Devils' Executive Vice President/General Manager Ray Shero.

Gabriel, 25, spent the past five seasons with the Minnesota Wild organization. In 2017-18, he played in 42 games with Minnesota's AHL affiliate in Iowa, registering three goals, five assists and 43 penalty minutes. The right-shooting right wing has appeared in 16 NHL games, notching one assist with 39 penalty minutes. He was Minnesota's third-round pick and 81st overall in the 2013 NHL Draft.
Born April 20, 1993 in Newmarket, Ontario, Gabriel has played in 190 AHL games, having scored 23 goals and 17 assists for 40 points and 345 penalty minutes. The 6-4, 200lb., forward played four seasons of junior hockey with Owen Sound (OHL).
