The New Jersey Devils today announced the four games where they will wear the adidas Reverse Retro ADIZERO Authentic jersey, as part of the Reverse Retro Jersey Series Presented by Pepsi®. The Devils will wear the jerseys for the first time on Saturday, Dec. 3 at 7 p.m. ET vs. the Philadelphia Flyers at Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia.
The Devils will showcase their jerseys at home for the first time on Friday, Dec. 9 at 7 p.m. ET when they host the New York Islanders. The first 9,000 fans in attendance at the game will receive a limited edition, "Chico & Nico" dual bobblehead, courtesy of Pepsi to commemorate the night. The bobblehead pays homage to the "then and now" of the team, with team captain Nico Hischierand beloved Devils alumni/broadcaster Chico Resch, who suited up for the Rockies from 1980 - 1982, prior to the team moving to New Jersey, where he continued to play with the organization until 1986. Prior to puck drop on December 9, Devils' alumnus and 1995 Stanley Cup Champion Bruce Driver will participate in the "Light Up the Rock" ceremony. Driver was actually drafted by the Rockies in 1981 (6th round, 108th overall in NHL Entry Draft) but made his NHL debut in 1983 in New Jersey.
The jersey release coincides with the return of Pepsi-Cola Soda Shop, a modern take on classic soda shop flavors, with a new limited-edition flavor - Zero Sugar Cream Soda Cola - joining the popular Cream Soda and Black Cherry flavors. During Reverse Retro Jersey Series presented by Pepsi® home games, fans will have the opportunity to sample each of the Soda Shop flavors by visiting Section 16 on the Main Concourse and Section 130 on the Upper Concourse when doors open at 5:30 p.m. while supplies last.
