Game Preview: Devils vs Canadians

Today marks the third and final contest between New Jersey and Montréal in the 2018-19 regular season series. The Devils are 2-0-0 (4PTS) against the Canadians this season. A win in tonight's match-up would give the club their best record against the Canadians since the 2011-12 regular season (3-1-0=6PTS). The Devils have outscored their Atlantic Division opponent 8-4 in the two contests.

Nico Hischier leads the Devils in scoring with three points in the two contests. Hischier netted the overtime game-winner in the last tilt on Feb. 2 at Bell Centre. Max Domi (1G-1A), Andrew Shaw (2A), and Jonathan Drouin (1G-1A) all lead Montréal with two points each.
Keith Kinkaid defeated the Canadians on the Nov. 21 contest, stopping 24 of 26 shots in the 60 minutes of action. Kinkaid is a career 4-3-0 against Montréal posting a 3.00 GAA. Carey Price stopped 23 of 28 shots faced in the same contest and is a career 12-12-1 against New Jersey.
The Devils are 6-5-3 against Montréal since the 2014-15 season and are 3-2-2 at Prudential Center.
