The New Jersey Devils High School Player of the Month Program continues this season.

Players named for January 2019 are: senior goalie Isla Okkinga (Kent Place, Girls Ice Hockey); senior goalie Matt Ubertaccio (Madison, MCSSIHL); senior forward Tyler Sedlak (Don Bosco Prep, Gordon Conference); senior forward James Fusaro (Clifton, Big North Conference); sophomore forward Ronan Keenan (West Windsor-Plainsboro, Colonial Valley Conference); senior forward Oscar Worob (Montclair Kimberley, Essex/Union); senior forward Daniel Schnack (Pingry, Greater Middlesex/Skyland Conference); senior forward John Gutt (St. John Vianney, Shore Conference).
Each month, December through February, student-athletes from throughout the state are selected as recipients of the award. Public A, Public B, Public C, and Non-Public All-Tournament Teams will be selected in March and an overall Boys and Girls High School Player of the Year will be chosen after the conclusion of the season.
Winners are based on nominations received from members of the media who cover the state's scholastic hockey. Award winners and their guests receive tickets to a Devils game and a certificate presented by a Devils player. This marks the 27th season that the Devils are honoring high school student-athletes.
