The New Jersey Devils today acquired forward Curtis Lazar via trade from the Vancouver Canucks in exchange for New Jersey's fourth-round pick in the 2024 NHL Draft. The announcement was made by Executive Vice President/General Manager Tom Fitzgerald.
Lazar, 28, joins the Devils after spending this past season with Vancouver, scoring three goals and two assists with 14 penalty minutes in 45 contests. His 51.9% face-off win percentage ranked second on the Canucks, and he was third in hits (124) at the time of the trade. His hit total and blocked shots (49) were second among Canucks' forwards.
