The New Jersey Devils will host Mascot Madness Sunday, October 29, 2023, when they face off against the Minnesota Wild for a 5:00 PM contest at Prudential Center. The theme night, marking NJ Devil’s 30th anniversary as the team’s mascot, will feature an on-ice intermission matchup and contest, in-game features and more. The first 9,000 fans in attendance will receive an NJ Devil bobblehead.
Mascot Madness will feature six NHL and NBA Mascots participating in game day activities, including media time-outs and intermission games. The mascots will face-off against Hockey in New Jersey youth in a first intermission Marquee Matchup showdown presented by JAG Physical Therapy. There will also be an on-ice contest in the second intermission featuring the mascots where fans will have the chance to win a Devils prize pack.
Led by NJ Devil, the six mascots will also participate in a pre-game meet and greet. Fans in attendance will receive a custom Mascot Madness poster upon entry that can get signed by all mascots during the event. In addition, the pre-game event will consist of different Mascot Madness themed activities and an NJ Devil birthday celebration.
“Mascot Madness is a family-friendly evening filled with fun activities for fans of all ages,” said Jillian Frechette, Chief Marketing Officer, New Jersey Devils & Prudential Center. “We are excited to welcome the other mascots as they interact with each other and fans, while also celebrating the host’s, NJ Devil, 30th anniversary as our mascot.”
Sponsored in-game features throughout the night will be tailored to NJ Devil and Mascot Madness, including Premio Pick One, Corradino & Papa Misery Generator and AmeriHealth Emoji Cam. The mascots will also “Light Up The Rock” and fans can participate with their phones from their seats by downloading the NJ Devils + Prudential Center app powered by Verizon.
