The New Jersey Devils announced today that forward Ondrej Palat has been placed on Injured Reserve, retroactive to Oct. 24. After meeting with the doctors, a final determination will be made on Monday as to the next course of action.
Palat has missed the past two games with a lower-body injury and has not participated in any of the practices or morning skates.
The 10-year NHL veteran, 31, joined the Devils this past off-season after spending a decade with the Tampa Bay Lightning. In five games played with the Devils this season, Palat has three goals on eight shots, including a game-winner. Palat is tied for the lead in goals with Nico Hischier, Jesper Bratt, Jack Hughes, and Dawson Mercer.
In addition, the club has recalled Andreas Johnsson from the Utica Comets. Johnsson, 27, has a goal and five assists in four games played for the Comets. His six points lead the Utica roster.
